Vintage Wedding Card

Boxed Card

Here is a beautiful 6x6 inch boxed wedding card.  I used KaiserCraft - These Days paper pad, I inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and used the Tim Holtz distress tool too. Stitched around the edges with my sewing machine (this machine sees alot more paper and lace than it sees material)!!  I used a Hero Arts swirl stamp and embossed with silver WOW! embossing powder for the background and added some pearls on the ends of the swirls. I added lace, pearls, cheesecloth and feathers to build it up. I then cut out some white card with Stampin Up! Framelits labels collection, Inked again with Ranger Vintage Photo and used my black gel pen to add faux stitching, I sprayed the labels with Rangers Perfect Pearls Mists - Heirloom Gold.  I found a fab Vintage Bird on Graphics Fairy and fussy cut it out, inked it also and sprayed with the Perfect Pearls and added stickles to the neck of the bird and on the rose. Added the ribbon and twine with tags and some stickles.  On the box I added a metal leaf attached to the ribbon. On the box I used Versamark Ink to stamp some hearts from the Potpourri Stampin Up! stamps. I put some Stampn Up! heat n stick on and then added glitter. Took some photos and packed it up nice n snug to be posted!! Please Mr. Postie be gentle with it!! :D

Sweet Journal - Shabby Chic

I wanted to try something with gesso and glimmer mist to make a really shabby chic look. I decided to take a simple 6x4 inch journal and see what I could do with it.

I decided to Gesso all the edges of the Journal and all metal and other embellishments first. What a mess right!! Then I went over the edges of the journal again with white Acrylic Paint.

I then chose some paper from Prima - Rondelle Collection for the front and back of the journal and put gesso on the edges of the paper too.  See I told you I wanted to use Gesso!! I then stitched around the edges of the paper with my sewing machine.
I halved a doily and put half on the front and half on the back. I used the Prima Chevron stencil and put some modelling paste on it. And backed it with some dark pink card.

I added lace, a string of pearls, flowers etc. and a Prima Shabby Chic Window - then guess what I did......

Yep back to the pot of Gesso, you gesseod it!!I added the metal corners.

After all that Gesso, I sprayed here and there with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Key Lime Pie and Vintage Pink.  I also added a white Muslin ribbon, twine and a key, some Cheesecloth and little gems here and there. Even the little padlock has some cheesecloth, gems and a little rose. And I put a touch of glitter on the flowers, its hard to see in the photos, but there is glitter.  Oh I nearly forgot the Sweet Prima light bulb -Junkyard Findings. I hope you like the finished product, thanks for stopping by to have a look. Until next time, TTFN. xx

We are very sad that our lovely friends are leaving to set up home way away across the water..........how could they do this to us!! Well we had some tricks up our sleeves - didn't we girls.  We thought if we threw them this fabulous party they would just see how much we all love them and they just wouldn't have the heart to leave us all behind.
